The Roots Campaign is all about “Planting for Tomorrow”. We have been given an amazing opportunity to change the landscape of our city with the Message of Jesus Christ. By working together, we will expand and move the vision of Reverb Church forward. The goal for the Roots Campaign is to raise $1M from October 2015-October 2016 and will focus on 3 important areas.

The first part of the Roots Campaign is to plant roots in World Golf Village here in the first city of our nation. The Pastors and Elders believe there is no better way to show our city we are here to stay and reach them, than to place deep roots here. Our desire is to prepare to have a permanent home for our church in late 2016. Can you imagine a place that is dedicated to ministry 7 days a week to fulfill the mission and vision God has called us to? A place where not only our children will worship Jesus but potentially our grandchildren and their children. Reverb is not interested in simply making a dent in our city, we want to make a difference by changing the landscape of it. With your help, together we can shift the culture of our city and continue to take ground for Jesus. We will do this together as a people and by locking arms with other life giving churches here in St. Augustine.

It’s important to understand WHY we feel such an urgency. Jesus through the great commission in Matthew 28, calls us to go and make disciples. You and I have been given a great responsibility by God to reach as many people as we can here in St. Augustine with this message of hope. It has to start here with us and then to the ends of the earth. There are over 210K people in St. Johns County and there are fewer than 25K people in some form of Gospel Centered Community.

Did you know that there are over 3,000 counties in the United States? Did you know that St. John’s County is the 11th fastest growing county in our nation? Our neighbors in Nocatee are the 3rd fasting growing community in the nation. Thousands of people are moving into our backyard and I believe we have a mandate to reach them with the Message of Jesus Christ. Our responsibility is to show them the love of Christ and help them discover what it means to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus.

In order to execute this plan, it’s is going to take great faith, sacrifice, and courage. We are looking at all of our options in the immediate area regarding buildings, space and land, and we believe the Lord has something very special for our church.

The second part of the Roots Campaign is for further expansion of our staff and service times through this season of growth. As we continue to grow this fall and into the spring, we know that we will need to have the right Leadership in place to sustain the growth we are experiencing today and expecting tomorrow. Our Mission is to the Resound the Message of the Gospel, Make Disciples and Plant Churches.

We are constantly looking at our growth trends and will make a final decision on when the second service and adding new support staff will begin.

The third part of the Roots Campaign is to prepare us to plant more independent churches and future Reverb Church Campuses. Since 2012, we have had the opportunity to be a part of helping church plants here in our city and around the country. More people are meeting Jesus in new church plants than any other way right now. We want to reach our city by raising up new pastors, worship leaders, church planters, and team members which are our volunteers. Our permanent location in World Golf Village will become an equipping and sending place. This will allow us to plant new Reverb Churches throughout the city and to be close to where the people are in the future. Though we are not ready to take that step today, we know we are just a few years out from seeing that become a reality. Having a home will allow us to train and equip those who are getting ready for that journey.
