21 DAYS OF PRAYER AND DEVO
TAKE THE LAND
DAY 1 – INCREASE OUR FAITH
Luke 17:5–6 (ESV) 5 The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” 6 And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.
Prayer: Father, Increase my faith to believe that you are moving on our behalf for a financial miracle at Reverb Church during these next 21 days. Replace any doubt with God-sized faith as we unite our prayers together to “Take the Land” in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 2 – TRUSTING IN GOD
Jeremiah 17:7–8 (ESV) 7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.8 He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Prayer: Father, I want to be like a tree planted by the water that is healthy and vibrant! I need you now more than ever to refresh me as I step out in faith and trust you like never before. Meet me in my obedience and sacrifice during these 21 days of prayer. I desire that you would fill me up with your Holy Spirit as I take steps in trusting you like never before in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 3 – SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM
Matthew 6:30–33 (ESV) 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Prayer: Father, everything I have is yours. Help me to live a life that pursues you first. Forgive me for the times I allow the daily worries and needs of this life to consume my thoughts. Today, I choose to place you first in every area of my life including time, talent and treasure. I believe your Word reminds me that as I make that choice, all these other things will be added to me. I thank you for it now in Jesus Name, Amen.
DAY 4 – AWAKEN ME
Romans 13:11–12 (ESV) 11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. 12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Prayer: Father, awaken my spirit in this moment to what you are doing in the Earth. Fill me with your Holy Spirit fresh and new today! Remind me of the passion I had when I first met you. Allow me to walk in your light and cast off all darkness. Cause my heart to come alive during these 21 days of Prayer so that I may be an instrument you will use in this amazing season in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 5 – AWAKE O SLEEPER
Ephesians 5:7–14 (ESV) 7 Therefore do not become partners with them; 8 for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10 and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13 But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14 for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”
Prayer: Father, I come to you again asking that you would cause me to walk in your light and life. Fill me with your Spirit to overflowing so that I may impact those around me. I commit to walk in your ways and take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness but instead expose them. Awaken my heart so others may see you in me and that I may become all you have called me to be in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 6 – PRAYING HIS WILL
Mark 11:23–25 (ESV) 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”
Prayer: Father, there is nothing that is too hard for you. I pray that my faith is strengthened. I desire to hear your heart and know your will today. I am believing that you will move mountains for me and our church as we continue to pray for a miracle for our land and new church home. Please forgive me for any sin I have committed against you or anyone else. Cleanse me now so that my prayers may be heard and not hindered in any way. I stand with others in our church and believe for this miracle trusting that this is your will in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 7 – PRAY FOR YOUR LEADERS
1 Timothy 2:1–2 (ESV) 2 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
Prayer: Father, I pray for those who are in authority over me. I pray you would lead and guide them as they make decisions about the church and it’s future. I pray for my pastors, elders and church staff. Lead them today as they lead us forward. I pray for new leaders and new opportunities as we continue to pioneer forward and take ground for the Kingdom.
DAY 8 – REJOICE IN THE LORD
Philippians 4:4–6 (ESV) 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Prayer: Father, I pray the joy of the Lord is our strength during these 21 days of prayer. As your church, I pray you would move mountains and bring forth a financial miracle for our land. I will not be anxious about it, but will have a heart full of thanksgiving and faith as I make these requests known to you in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 9 – SHOUT, HE HAS GIVEN US THE CITY
Joshua 6:16 (ESV) 16 And at the seventh time, when the priests had blown the trumpets, Joshua said to the people, “Shout, for the LORD has given you the city.
Prayer: Father, as you declared this words to Joshua, I believe you have given us this city for your Glory. Use me in the days, weeks, and years to come as our church reaches the lost and the broken. Break my heart for what breaks Yours. Let my prayer today be a weapon of warfare over those far from you and in need of Jesus. We pray for those in our city and that you will continue to use Reverb Church to passionately connect people to an authentic life in your son Jesus Christ. It’s in His name we pray, Amen.
DAY 10 – CHEERFUL GIVER
2 Corinthians 9:6–8 (ESV) 6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
Prayer: Father, I pray that my heart will be right and my attitude full of gratitude as I prepare to give in this special offering. Let joy and laughter fill my life as I decide in my heart how to participate. I trust your Word that tells me you are able to make all grace abound to me and that I have sufficiency in all things at all times. I prepare myself even now to be a vessel for this miracle. Cause me to be a cheerful giver in every season in Jesus name, Amen!
DAY 11 – MORE BLESSED TO GIVE
Acts 20:35 (ESV) 35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ”
Prayer: Father, remind me today that my life is not my own. My desire is to live for you in every way including my generosity. Let me experience your words in my heart “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Open up the windows of Heaven and pour out in my life so that I may live out this principle in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 12 – TRUST IN GOD ALONE
Psalm 121:1–2 (ESV) 1 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? 2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
Prayer: Father, I continue to look to you! You are where our help comes from. I trust you in every way to perform miracles in our life, family and church. I ask for great favor as we as the church “Take the Land” this month. I trust you and the outcome of our prayers. Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 13 – NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU
Jeremiah 32:16–17 (ESV) 16 “After I had given the deed of purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to the LORD, saying: 17 ‘Ah, Lord GOD! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
Prayer: Father, You made the heavens and the earth. NOTHING is too hard for you! I am asking for you to move on behalf of your people with great power and outstretched arm toward this midway offering. I believe that you will use me and others in our city to see this miracle take place. Speak to hearts even now and prepare them for what you desire for a sacrificial gift. Remind me today of how big you are and that all things are in your hands in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 14 – ENLARGE THE PLACE OF OUR TENT
Isaiah 54:2–3 (ESV) 2 “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. 3 For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations and will people the desolate cities.
Prayer: Father, enlarge us spiritually so that we as a church may reach those far from you. Do not let us hold back anything you want to use in us. Stretch our gifts and talents in this season. Lengthen our cords as a church and drive our stakes in the ground here establishing a permanent home in our city! We want to be a part of this movement in our generation to see the lost found and Your mighty wonders displayed in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 15 – GOD-SIZED PLANS
Jeremiah 29:11–13 (ESV) 11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
Prayer: Father, thank you for your reminder today the plans you have for my life are good. Those plans are filled with a hope and a future. Thank you for listening to my prayers as I call upon you each day. Teach me to seek you in every situation. As I do, will you show me your plans and desires for my life and ministry. Use me in this season to passionately connect people to an authentic life in Christ through these plans and visions. Thank you for hearing my prayer even at this moment in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 16 – BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS
Joshua 1:6–9 (ESV) 6 Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
Prayer: Father, I am asking you today for a spirit of strength and courage. As we prepare to take the land as a church, show me how I may be used for your Glory and name. When my heart and faith fail me, help me once again to be strong and courageous. Let your Word be in my mouth and on my mind constantly reminding me of who I am in you. I pray for everyone that calls Reverb Church home. My prayer is that they too will see the promised land and their future inheritance in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 17 – LET US BUILD TOGETHER
Nehemiah 2:17–18 (ESV) 17 Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer derision.” 18 And I told them of the hand of my God that had been upon me for good, and also of the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they strengthened their hands for the good work.
Prayer: Father, our city lies in spiritual ruins. Allow me to see how desperately people need the Gospel at work in their hearts and lives. I desire to build your Kingdom here in our city but I cannot do it alone. Let us rise and build together. I pray the call to build Your Kingdom here in St. Johns County would be on all our hearts at Reverb. Let us realize that each of us play an intricate part as we bring our time, talent, and treasure. Strengthen our hands for the good work ahead in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 18 – TAKE ME DEEPER
Colossians 2:6–7 (ESV) 6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
Prayer: Father, take me deeper and establish me in my faith in this season. Help me to be rooted and built up. As you accomplish this in my life, I know I will be able to withstand anything the enemy throws my way. Cause my heart to constantly be thankful for all you have done and continue to do. My only desire is to walk in You and know your heart to greater depths in Jesus name, Amen.
DAY 19 – A DECLARATION TO GOD
1 Chronicles 29:10–13 (ESV) 10 Therefore David blessed the LORD in the presence of all the assembly. And David said: “Blessed are you, O LORD, the God of Israel our father, forever and ever. 11 Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. 12 Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. 13 And now we thank you, our God, and praise your glorious name.
Prayer: Father, today I will stop everything I am doing to declare your greatness and your power that is forever and ever. Thank you Father that all riches and honor come from you. Blessed are you O, Lord for you have secured every victory in my life! I thank you for the victory over death and the grave through the cross of your Son Jesus Christ. I thank you that I should fear nothing in this life because of your great power at work within me. Be exalted through my prayers of Thanksgiving to you in this moment. I bless your Holy Name and declare that Your Kingdom has no end in Jesus name, Amen!
DAY 20 – EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE
Ephesians 3:20–21 (ESV) 20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Prayer: Father, tomorrow as I step out in AUDACIOUS FAITH, I bring my very best offering. As I do, will you exceed my expectations! Will you multiply it abundantly above all that I ask or think. As a church, we need your miraculous hand to move in this hour. Let your Kingdom come and Your will be done here in St. Johns County and beyond in Jesus name, Amen!
DAY 21 – TAKE THE LAND
1 Chronicles 29:14–18 (ESV) 14 “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from you, and of your own have we given you. 15 For we are strangers before you and sojourners, as all our fathers were. Our days on the earth are like a shadow, and there is no abiding. 16 O LORD our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own. 17 I know, my God, that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen your people, who are present here, offering freely and joyously to you. 18 O LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, keep forever such purposes and thoughts in the hearts of your people, and direct their hearts toward you.
Prayer: Father, who am I that you would allow me to participate in building your Kingdom. I acknowledge that all things come from you and that you own everything that will be given today. “All this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own.” I return these blessings so you may use them to passionately connect people to an authentic life in you. Save the lost and touch the broken through this sacrificial offering. Use everything we as the body of Christ bring today for your name and your glory. Let our hearts stand in amazement of all you accomplish through a unified effort in Jesus name, Amen!
